Long review

I received an email a few days before my arrival, explaining that the motel used a remote check-in process where I would receive access codes on our arrival day. In reality, however, I did not receive any access codes. The check-in desk was open though, so I simply grabbed the room key from the staff. Maybe the access codes would be given when guests arrive after office hours.

When accessing the room, I was given a Queen Room even though I booked a Triple Room. I had to go back to the reception staff. She resolved the issue quickly and gave me the Triple Room. Not sure why they made the mistake in the first place and what would happen if no Triple Room is available.

As far as I know, there are 14 rooms in the motel with a three-bedroom apartment also available. The 14 rooms were brightly painted externally with different colours, making the place appear lively. There is a parking spot in front of each room.

The Triple Room has a double bed and single bed. A blue wall and a leave-themed blankets and pillowcases make the room feel fresh, which corresponds nicely to its relatively close proximity to the ocean.

The furniture in the room is compact, which is a good decision to make the room feel more spacious. There are a small work desk, a clothes rack, and a luggage rack. The mini bar is placed neatly in the far end of the room. Besides the usual toaster and kettle, a microwave and some basic crockery and cutlery are provided. Some of them require washing before using though. Wi-fi was available for free and it was fairly fast and reliable. The main issue with the bedroom is its poor sound insulation. I could hear people closing a car door fairly clearly. I also could hear the guests in the room next door and when people walking on the corridor in front of the room at night time.

The bathroom is clean and functional. I also appreciate the double basin bathroom vanities.

There is a nice outdoor dining area. My family utilised this space for dinner.

The motel is centrally located. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. Coles Supermarket is actually located right next to the motel. The famous Eden Whale Killer Museum is about 600 metres away, while the Killer Whale Trail Lookout is 1.5 km away.

Overall, it is a nice accommodation to stay at Eden. It may not be suitable for you, however, if you are a light sleeper.
