Long review

Mercure Albury is located within the city centre, providing easy access to shops and restaurants. My family and I arrived there by car. Parking was free and there were plenty of parking spaces throughout our stay. This was also our third time staying in this hotel.

The lobby is small, but nicely decorated. After a quick check-in, we rode a rather jumpy lift to go to our room on level 1. The corridor was decorated with some large portraits showcasing the city of Albury in olden times.

Our room was a superior room with a queen bed and a single bed. Nothing much to say about the interior. It is standard and functional. Looking out from the window, I only could see the car park and the building next door. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet at night.

The bathroom, again, was functional and clean. It had a claustrophobic feeling because the shower is surrounded by 3 solid brick walls.

Breakfast menu

We ordered the smooth start, peanut choc banana smoothie, berry waffles, eggs benedict, and big breakie burger. All of them were delicious. Breakfast was the best experience for us when staying in this hotel.

When it comes to facilities outside the room, the hotel has a swimming pool, located next to the restaurant. It is quite small, but the space looks nice and was rather busy during our stay. A guest laundry is also available and the space is fairly spacious. It could use some cleaning though. Somebody also left their washing unattended in the dryer, so I had to pile up some questionable items in order to use the dryer.

During our previous stay, we had a problem with the wi-fi as the signal was weak. We had no problem with the wi-fi this time. We also brought some frozen stuff and the hotel staff was helpful and allowed us to place it in their freezer.

Overall, this experience was better than our previous ones.
